- We carry a $5,000,000 insurance policy free of charge. For liability insurance coverage we need the official name of the show, contact persons name, and official address for the show.
- Is there a waiver to close the flight line/airport during our performance? If not, we need to discuss more details.
- What time do you want us to perform and for how long?
- Is there a pilots meeting that I need to attend?
- We need the name, address, and directions to the airport.
- We need the name, address, directions, and phone number to the hotel. We may need a late check in time and conformation number to the hotel room(s).
- What time does the airport gates close at night and open in the morning? How do we report/check in? Can we leave our trailer(s) in the airport gates or on base?
- We prefer to have at least 2 contacts and a way to reach each person the day before and the morning of the first show. Could you provide this please?
- Can we set up a static display? Asphalt, concrete, or Grass? We need a 20' x 24' minimum or 24' x 80' max area.
- Will we have electricity or can we run a generator? Not necessary, but we have a simulator(s) and video tapes we normally run at our static display. We can run this from our battery inverters, but they last for about 3-4 hours only. If you provide electricity, what distance do we need for an extension cord?
- Will there be a PA system with CD and tape player that we can use for our narrator? Is the narrator box up on a stand? Our narrator can make it up with assistance but he is in a wheel chair. We have a PA system and/or remote microphone if necessary.
- Will there be Pyrotechnics or fireworks during the show? Will they be loaded during our performance? If so, we will need to work details with your or the Fire Marshal.
- Will there be a VIP dinner? Are other meals provided to our pilots?
- On the day of the event we need to do a frequency check and cannot fly all planes when winds are above 25knots. We need 1000 ft sq flight area box for our complete show and must stay 300 feet away from structure outside of this box (i.e. Blue Angel's, static displays, etc.). Our flight area must be at least 100 feet from the spectators to meet insurance requirements. We cannot have people, full-scale airplanes land/takeoff, vehicles, etc under the flight performance area. “The Show Must Go On” is our attitude, but safety is our top priority.
- Do you need a Contract?
- Last but not least, how do you pay your performers? We need 6 hotel rooms with two double beds in each room for the nights before the performance(s), $1 per mile round trip from Dallas for travel cost, and $ 450 for the performance fee ($750 for 2 day show or $900 for a 3 day show). Our sponsors asked us to negotiate all first shows.
